Mugabe Caps 2612 Students In Midlands State University, 2nd Graduation Ceremony

The Chancellor of Midlands State University (MSU), President Robert Mugabe, has capped 2612 students at the university campus in Gweru hardly a month after capping over 2358 in late November.

MSU Vice Chancellor, Professor Ngwabi Bhebhe, said the university now has students from various African countries such as Botswana, Mozambique, Zambia, Swaziland, South Africa and South Sudan, hence making its mark on the academic map.

He said MSU will next year host the Pan-African debate after winning the bid.

Professor Bhebhe added that MSU is also linking with other institutions of research so as to lessen its dependence on the fiscus.

53 percent of the graduands are male and 47 percent females.
